Marketing yourself on the web is very useful because it helps get your name out and establish yourself. It gives someone recoginition for the jobs they can do and their specifications. A website like LinkedIn helps people get a job by displaying what they can do by making their own profile. Having an E-portfolio and an digital footprint is important to the job application process and helps a person find a job.

Developing a Web Page

Creating a Web Page was pretty difficult; I had to know how to write HTML and make sure all the codes were right because if they weren't the web page won't work. Coding is very tedious but the payoff is amazing, creating a web page is a major accomplishment. With the help of Code Academy, I learned how to write and code with the language of the internet.  HTML is easy of you are willing to work hard and try it out.

History of the World Wide Web

What I learned about the World Wide Web was it took a lot of determination and people willing to give up their current lifestyle to learn something for the future. If no one felt the need to innovate and use the computer, we wouldn't be where we are today. There were many things that had to happen in order for the computer to be where it is today like people had to make processors, hard drives, and had to keep updating in order for computers to be as user friendly as possible. Using http://www.dipity.com/ImranFazal/The-History-of-the-World-Wide-Web_1/ was pretty easy, I had no issues using this site. Uploading photos was painless and I enjoyed making it!

Blog of Interest

I researched a blog on sports and found a blog called Sports Blog http://www.sportsblog.com/. I have always been interested in sports and this blog has all of the news and stats I need. I always revisit this blog because it contains useful information on the world of sports. I have also researched a blog called Sole Collector http://solecollector.com/. This blog informs their audience about sneakers; whether its new Jordan release dates, news, or anything else that has to do with shoes. I will revisit this blog if i need to find out anything about shoes.

What I’ve learned about blogs

People use blogs to talk about ideas, opinions, etc. Blogs could help businesses and companies get their word out and offer personal entries to make their audience feel more comfortable and educated about their business. Blogs allow people to talk about specific topics; whether its sports, news, or anything important or relevant going on in the world. 

What makes a good blog post?

A blog helps the creator communicate with people that share the same interest and him/her. It is a place to share ideas and open up about topics that are important to the writer. I researched a blog about movies( http://themovieblog.com/) and its about movie reviews and updates on actors. Also I researched another blog about Jordan sneakers (http://solecollector.com/) and it was about Jordan sneaker news, release dates, and anything that is happening to the brand.
